2020 Scholarship Program

We believe that a proper understanding of marketing and business can help students find the career of their dreams or even help them start their own business.  We strive to share our understanding of marketing with the world but we can’t forget how beneficial college can be for an individuals education.  That is why we have decided to offer a $1,000 scholarship to one lucky college student!  Please read the details below to enter.

Scholarship Details

We want to give each applicant an equal opportunity at the scholarship so it is important to read the details carefully.

Scholarship Eligibility:

This scholarship is for college and university students in any U.S state.  Undergraduate, graduate, masters, doctorate, and any other kind of student is eligible to apply.  Even though we are a business & marketing organization you don’t have to be a business student to apply.

How To Apply For The Scholarship:

To apply:

  • Must be an eligible student.
  • Must be completed prior to August 1st as the winner will be decided on August 8th.
  • Prompt: You must write a 300 word essay on your favorite example of marketing.
  • Once complete, email your submission to scholarship@mainemarketingassociation.org
  • The winner will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship as well as receive a personalized mentorship with our leadership team.

This essay prompt is left vague on purpose.  We want you to be creative with your short essay.  Marketing is all around you.  You could write about how the Kardashian’s dominate Instagram, how Nike sponsors LeBron James, or any other example of marketing that you like.

Our team looks forward to reading your responses.  We will be choosing the winner based on how strong the argument is and how well the essay is worded.  Feel free to let your personality shine through your writing.

If you have any questions, please use our contact page to reach out to us.

As a precaution: The Maine Marketing Association has the right to decline applications, as well as choose the winner, or lack there of, as they choose.
